#bechange: Awakening!

RECOMPOSITION, SOUND PERFORMANCE AND IMPROVISATION

based on the music of
Wilhelmine von Bayreuth

War, peace, and hope; passing on, survival, and new life - these are the themes explored in the recomposition #bechange: Awakening! by Nina Kazourian and Tabea Schrenk, based on the music of Wilhelmine von Bayreuth (1709-1758). The audience is invited to collectively slow down in order to make room for musical reflections on the pressing issues of our time. Original passages, such as from Bayreuth's baroque opera Argenore, merge with elements of songwriting and modern arrangements. Combined with free improvisations, the result is a completely new programmeby Stegreif, in which the ensemble directly addresses social dilemmas.

About the #bechange series

#bechange is a new chapter, a word of encouragement to all curious people, a touch of confidence in a world in disarray, and above all a musical invitation to get involved: to think, feel and create something new.

#bechange asks about change in each and every one of us and invites musicians and the audience to consider their perspective on the central questions of our time. All voices, whether loud or quiet, are heard in an open discussion of hope, guilt and responsibility in the face of the global ecological crisis.
