The joint concert by the Stegreif Orchestra and the ZUSAMMENSPIEL Ensemble of Kulturkarawane Trier e.V. is an invitation to rediscover orchestral music. It is aimed at people who don’t usually listen to classical music, who love to groove, and who want to experience familiar repertoire in a new light.
Here, two extraordinary musical approaches come together: professional, improvisation-driven orchestral music and collaborative, inclusive music-making by people from the most diverse backgrounds.
Kulturkarawane Trier, together with Stegreif and the initial reception centre for refugees in Trier, had launched an improvisation project: 25 enthusiastic people from eleven nations rehearsed and made music together. They rediscovered sounds, rhythms and forms of expression, entirely without sheet music and without reservations – simply for the joy of sharing the experience. ZUSAMMENSPIEL is the continuation of this project. It stands for openness, diversity and collective creativity.
At our concert, both ensembles will merge into one large ensemble, enabling spontaneous interaction and active participation from the audience. We invite you to a musical experience that breaks down barriers: between stage and audience, professional musicians and amateurs, and between people of all generations with their diverse social, cultural and personal backgrounds. The Eventum as a concert hall, the audience seating – everything becomes a stage.
